Soul Knows: INTRODUCTION

          In the course of spiritualizing my life over the past 25 years, I began to get ideas that came out as book titles. My "Conversations with God" started with one-liners, and then progressed to short paragraphs. Someone would say something or I would read something, or I would see something on T.V. and I would comment that that would make a good book title. I would change it around slightly to give it more of a spiritual viewpoint since that's how it struck me as Soul. I began to write these titles down thinking one day I would write a book on the topic. As time passed the titles continued to flow in but the books never developed. The title seemed to say everything to me in that one sentence or so. So, once I wrote them down there didn't seem to be anything else to say. Thus, no book developed.

          I have always disliked reading pages and pages of fluff in a book in order to find the message or to get to the punch line at the end. It is boring and uninteresting to me to have to read or hear a story just to get to a point or bottom line. This book is written for the bottom liners of the world. Give me the bottom line information, I'll take care of the fluff myself, if necessary, became my approach to writing. Soul Knows: The "Cliff Notes"; "Bottom Line"; "Profile"; "Synopsis"; "Summed Up"; "The Meat"; "Stripped Version"; "Where's the Beef"; "Heart of the Matter"; "Bare-boned Info" on subjects that influence our life, today.

My idea is to use only as many words as I need in order to get the point across on each subject or idea. I call this type of writing, directed writing. Keeping it short and sweet to deliver the message directly, without a lengthy story that delays the truth the story is trying to convey. A kind of mini cliff-notes. I want the stuff not the fluff. How about you?

     One day my wife said to me. You know these titles are really a spiritual view of looking at things in the world and it's a talent that is natural to you. When you read, hear or see something, you as Soul seem to know and understand things at a deeper level. And, my response to that observation was Soul Knows. And, the rest as they say, is history.

     The purpose of this book is for Soul to talk directly to Soul, Soul to Soul. The human consciousness will have trouble with some of the viewpoints that are shared, but Soul will not. Soul (It) will understand what is stated here. Thus, this is a guide for the Soul who is seeking a higher purpose, a more spiritually mature viewpoint. Here are a few examples:

Soul Knows: Whatever holds our attention must eventually come to pass in this life or the next.

Soul Knows: Love is operating from a higher reality than logic. Those who truly have it, live it fully in joy and humor. ‘You shall know them by their fruits'.

Soul Knows: Not to take things so seriously, for these things too shall fade away.

Soul Knows: For each of us as Soul, imagination is the key to:

• See ourself spiritually free
• Contact our highest self.

Soul Knows: Our emotional regrets and our attachments to a deceased loved one are two things that hold them back and also delay their transition into the other worlds.

      The keys to Soul mastership are revealed within this book. Placing our attention on the core issues and truths about life is getting to the heart of the matter and is a Soul-directed quality. Soul has the ability to perceive the bottom line in any given area or experience. It can distill a whole collection of information into a "nutshell" or gem of truth.

       We often hear this expressed as the "common denominator" in math, "cutting to the chase" in literature, "get to the point" in a joke or story, the "bottom line" in research and the K.I.S.S. (Keep it simple stupid) philosophy that each person wants to hear. All of these refer to what I call the "direct perception" ability of Soul. Soul has the ability to reveal the "meat" of the truth in any area of life, if we tune into It and allow It to do Its thing. Since Soul is neither masculine nor feminine in Its natural state I will be referring to Soul as It. So, we will see this word used throughout the book in referring to Soul.

          The secret language of Soul is Direct Perception. It uses this direct form of awareness to connect with the truths in life. When Soul hears or sees the truth It "Knows it". Although Soul is a spiritual entity, It is not religious in Its natural form, except the religion that we bring to It ourself.

The writing style in which I wrote this book developed from the way I personally connected with Soul Itself, direct and to the point. Hidden or maybe not so hidden in these Soul Knows statements are nuggets of truth that teach us how to rise above this mundane world of the spiritually limited and learn how to shift our consciousness to a higher unlimited viewpoint of reality (Soul Shifting), to one of truth, of freedom, love and understanding. Understanding? Yes, understanding. For in my view it's not enough to be aware of a truth, problem, or karmic pattern, we need to understand the truth and why we have the problem or the karma, and understand why this truth is important to us.

          In Soul Knows: we find that the inspirational phrases, insights and conclusions lift us in consciousness, from the inside out, to greater heights of truth and simplicity. We get to embrace the subtle yet powerful message and meaning behind the words.

      Soul, the real succor of life, can only be found at the inner temple within, our true self. In Soul Knows:  we find a connection to the truths that come from the deepest inner realms of Soul Itself. These Soul viewpoint wisdoms are the insight gained upon directly looking and knowing from the spiritual level of awareness, for Soul has the ability and gift to know truth.

          As you read, practice listening with direct knowingness or what is also referred to as direct perception. This is an ability we each have available to us everyday - to see, to know and to be. But, first, we must be open to these higher truths in order for them to be revealed. In other words, we need to match the state of consciousness where these truths originate in order to be open and connected to them. This book helps us do that by hanging out with what Soul Knows:

Early in our journey through life we all go through painful experiences. Then, for some of us, we discover the spiritual life and begin to discover what can set us free-to go beyond pain and find not only meaning but also fulfillment in a creative life as well-Because:

Soul Knows: How to:

• Do without doing
• Act without acting
• Be without being

The statements made in this book will only start the ball of consciousness rolling. In order for real change to take place most of us must go through experiences and emotional resolution before the required shift in attitude and consciousness takes place. Pain and hard times can be viewed as growth in disguise, if we choose that spiritual view. We must be willing to take A Good Look Within to make the appropriate inner changes needed for continued unfoldment of our consciousness. Remember, Good is the long or humanized word for God. So, the spiritual approach would be to take A God Look Within.

Soul Knows: For the real & true answers in life we must each take A Good (God) Look Within.

From the Soul viewpoint this may mean the elimination of certain self-limiting belief systems, which may have served us at one time but now, prevent us from expanding into a new reality. There are times when we will be required to make a choice about our life, a choice that must be made for us, by us only. A decision which many times is born out of frustration and discontent, but becomes the motivation to get us out and move us on by seeking that which Soul Knows:  For example:

Soul Knows: What to realize in the divine game of life: The one who loves the most wins.

--AND--

Soul Knows: Its true mission (should It choose to accept it) has always been to find Its own personal way back to God. Then, by example, help others find their own way back to God, the one that is most appropriate for them.

The purpose of Soul Knows: To compress the fewest words into the most complete thought.

Another purpose of Soul Knows: To take a beautiful saying, idea, bit of information or wisdom and transform it into a greater viewpoint, the spiritual viewpoint of Soul--How does Soul, as a part of God, see it!

Soul Knows: The spiritual goal for each of us in this life is, as Socrates said, to know thyself- often referred to as Self-Realization, Soul-Realization or the realization of Soul of Itself.

Soul Knows: In the process of pursuing this great goal for ourself we will discover the personal desires that motivate our behavior, thinking, feelings, and urges in our life.

Soul Knows: We will discover the underlying driving forces that push us into certain directions and experiences, and also into particular decisions. We know this as karma. What we learn from these things will change our life in the spiritual direction we all deep down inside crave. So, if you are at the place in your life, that this is what you are finally ready to do with your life, then go for it, with all that you have to muster. And, Good (God) luck to you. And, remember to relax in the comfort that Soul Knows...

ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

I would like to acknowledge and thank Neil Cramer and Scott Fisher for their personal interest in the ‘bottom line'. At the time they and my wife were the only people to express their passion for the meat (truth). Our conversations centered around the bottom line truth and not so much the story and "fluff" that went with it. Yes, these conversations were intense but we went away fulfilled, happy and knowing.

The contemplation seeds in the following pages were acquired by design. My personal efforts involved the pursuit of the Soul viewpoint regarding these subjects. The accumulation of knowledge and insights was acquired through personal experiences, study and an in-depth observation of life around me. Thank you Joseph for listening to your true self, Soul.

Soul Knows: Health is state of balance between the body, mind, emotions and Soul.

Soul Knows: Balance means: We consider what food, drink, supplements, smoke and drugs we put into our body; we consider the images we put into our minds; we consider the feelings we put into our emotions; we consider the spiritual viewpoints we hold.

Soul Knows: The balanced and healthy consciousness is being not too high in the God state and not too low in the human state, yet lives within the middle spiritual view of Soul.

Soul Knows: Personality cults are just that, the complicated illusions of personality that can blind us to our true self.

Soul Knows: In order to be truly healthy we must eventually BALANCE the mind and its beliefs with the knowingness of Soul.

Soul Knows: An Aha! Moment is: An uplifting adjustment within our consciousness.

Soul Knows: When there is a psychological (emotional or mental) blockage of love in our heart, a hardening of the arteries cannot be far behind as a natural reflection. As the saying goes-As above, so below. Love is the great dissolver. Apply a little love juice to the affected area and all will be washed away.

Soul Knows: If we do not care, repair, and rebuild our health on a continuous basis, our body will malfunction, stop repairing itself, and eventually shut down through neglect. It's not enough to feed it and wash it.  Periodically, we need to check the engine, tune it up, and flush the filters just as we do our car. If we don't do this on a regular basis, symptoms will begin to appear, leading to malfunction and ultimately dis-ease (disease).

Soul Knows: The secret to optimum health is an inside job. In other words, we need to adjust any imbalances of our internal environment and then maintain optimal functioning of our cells, tissues and organs. This requires regular monitoring or prevention measures.

Soul Knows: The only reason we ever need to seek outside interference for our health is for emergency purposes. Otherwise, all we need is personalized nutrition balance, emotional stability, mental clarity and spiritual understanding to keep us functioning optimally.

Soul Knows: Only if we truly love ourself can we give true love to others.

Soul Knows: When we don't love ourself we tend to want another person to do that for us. The danger in that is when we feel their love being withdrawn, for any reason, we can be devastated by the emptiness it leaves behind.

Soul Knows: Responsibility is synonymous with commitment. When we are being responsible we are committing ourself to the promises that we make.

Soul Knows: The more we are together in an intimate relationship the deeper we need to go and the closer we need to become to access deeper areas of love. That is the whole purpose and the wonderful thing about intimacy that we tend to forget.

Soul Knows: A fish and a bird can fall in love but where do they build their nest? There must be harmony in any relationship in order to survive.

Soul Knows: Opposites attract but similars survive.

Soul Knows: The reason people are unhappy and unfulfilled in Relationships:

1. They don't feel they are being heard - solution -Be honest; share that truth with your partner.

2. Unappreciated - solution - Be honest; share that truth with your partner.

3. Not respected - solution - Be honest; share that truth with your partner.

4. Feeling betrayed - solution - Be honest; share that with your partner.

5. Lack of trust - solution - Be honest; share that with your partner.

6. Resentment - solution - Be honest; share that with your partner.

7. Confused - solution - Be honest; share that with your partner.

8. Lack of closeness - solution - Be honest; share that with your partner.

9. Lack of intimacy - solution - Be honest; share that with your partner.

10. Feeling Isolation - solution - Be honest; share that with your partner.

Soul Knows: When there is a basic shift in our consciousness others may not like, or accept, what they experience from us any longer. It means we are now bringing something new and different into the relationship. This can and often will take some people out of their comfort zone, so they decide they don't want to be around us any more. This is a natural occurrence as we climb the consciousness ladder. The sooner we get used to it, the better.

Soul Knows: The holy relationship between Soul and God is so sacred that nothing can replace it. This is why when we experience it for ourself we can never live our life without the presence of this viewpoint again. It becomes a part of us in all we do say and think.
